Police are urging vigilance regarding shoplifters who are specifically targeting power and hand tools. This would be of particular relevance to Builder’s Merchants, DIY stores and other retailers who sell power and hand tools.

Shoplifters often secrete items within clothing and staff should take appropriate measures to protect their stock from criminals. 

Any suspicious activity should be reported to Police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
