Community Police - Security Advice |
||
|
Dear Resident,
With the recent change in the clocks and the darker nights coming in we are asking people to take this time to think about the security of their homes, outbuildings and any rural business premises.
We ask that you stay vigilant for anyone acting suspiciously and to contact the Police to report this where possible via 101.
It is not uncommon for persons to be seen acting suspiciously during the day, possibly giving a vague excuse for being in the area if challenged, and for property then to be stolen during the night.
Agricultural equipment, quadbikes, trailers and 4x4 vehicles are some of the high value items that are targeted for theft in our area.
Information on how to protect your property can be found on our website here. Please take a few minutes to consider your security and how to improve it.
PC Lorna Deans and I have some availability to carry out home security surveys in the Trossachs and Teith Area and would ask anyone interested to contact us and we can make an appointment at ForthValleyCommunityPoliceStirling@scotland.police.uk (please include the words Trossachs & Teith or your address)
Neighbourhood Watch Alerts I would continue to ask that you encourage neighbours, friends and family to sign up to the Neighbourhood Watch Alerts. The more people signed up the more effective it will become.
This is not a method to report crime, to do this I would ask that you use 101 for non emergency's and 999 in an emergency.
You can also contact the Police to report non urgent matters via the Police Scotland Website - Contact Us Form
Thanks PC Donald King Community Policing Callander Police Station | ||
