Child Car Seat Safety and Fitness to Drive

In partnership with Road Safety Scotland, the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, Police Scotland and Good Egg Safety are running a FREE child car seat checking event on Wednesday 19th November at Tesco Extra Car Park, Cuckoo Bridge Retail Park, Dumfries (poster attached).  

Two thirds of child car seats checked across the UK are fitted incorrectly.  Unfortunately, errors on seat fittings are very easily made, but the great news is that they tend to be easy to fix.  Our trained safety advisors can help you ensure your child is safely strapped in and it only takes 5 minutes to get your car seat checked.  

We will also be supporting Road Safety Scotland’s Fitness to Drive campaign, encouraging mature drivers to reflect on their driving and take action to keep driving safely and confidently for as long as possible.
