This month’s Cyberbyte focuses on actions you can take in the event of experiencing an online scam or cyber-attack.

Victims of crime react differently and when under duress, it can be particularly difficult to know where to seek support or indeed how to react – what should I do?... who do I contact?... how will I be perceived?

It is important to have awareness that there are professional services ready to support, services which have empathy and act with complete confidentiality and understanding of the circumstances. 

So, it is good practice to be aware of available support services and the guidance they provide, both in terms of preparation but also in a situation where you or someone you know require that support.
